intro

“How can I go about rebuilding my credit and raise my score?”

“What’s the name of this song?”

“What state are you from?”

“What kind of phone should I get?”

“Latin translation please?”

NOTE 1- An online community where TrendSpacers can ask generally anything to everyone. That’s why TrendSpacers like Yahoo Answers.

21 million TrendSpacers log on to Yahoo Answers when they want to ask a question, answer a question, or just browse through..answers and questions.

NOTE 2- Y!A members can advance through “levels” by answering questions.

2 points are given for each question a Y!A member answers. An additional 10 cool points if your answer is choosen as the “Best Answer” by its questioner. Although you lose 5 points for every question you post, if a fellow TrendSpacer thinks your question is interesting enough he or she can give extra points by giving one “star” to the questioner. Also, it helps force creativity among some. Some stars even go into the hundreds after the question has been resolved, solidifying correlation of the question’s creativity and the member’s great answer. Posts like these could be one of the lucky chosen “Best of Answers” for all to see on the site’s homepage.

NOTE 3- Although you may not get “Best Answer” on every question, a simple thumbs up 1 point can be given from other Y!A peers showing the popularity or agreeableness of your opinion and/or comment.

Of course for every gain is a loss. 1 point is also taken away for each thumbs down. But with this point concept alone, it has proven to be as addicting as social networking sites.

NOTE 4- No friend requests here. Similar to the buddylist but called “Contacts”, you can add any Y!A member that you may choose for whatever reason.

There are many reasons to add someone to the “My Contacts” list. Maybe they know the best answers, always ask the craziest questions, are great at asking them or make the most interesting points. The fact that it’s up to you is why TrendSpacers like Yahoo Answers. And when a TrendSpacer is growing weary of the usual social network pleasures, Yahoo Answers is a great alternative of cyberleisure.
